Your Privacy Matters
We collect only what's needed to run the podcast and your subscription. We never sell your data, and you can delete your account at any time.
1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and any display name you choose to provide. If you submit questions for the podcast or vote in polls, we store that content along with your account identifier. We do not collect sensitive personal information such as your date of birth, address, or government identification numbers.
2. Payment Information
Premium subscriptions are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment provider. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers. Stripe handles all payment data securely in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We only retain your subscription status and billing email to manage your access. For details on how Stripe handles your data, see Stripe's privacy policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your account information to authenticate you, manage your subscription, and personalise your experience. Your submitted questions may be read on the podcast. Poll votes are aggregated to display community results. We may use your email to send important service notifications such as subscription confirmations or security alerts.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on our hosting platform's infrastructure. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel and is protected by authentication controls. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies and browser local storage to maintain your login session and remember preferences such as your theme and competition filter. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Audio playback preferences are stored locally on your device.
6. Third-Party Services
Our platform integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), our podcast RSS distributor, and social media platforms (Facebook, Buy Me a Coffee) via external links. These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the in-app option, your personal data and submitted content are permanently removed from our database. Aggregate, anonymised data may be retained for analytics purposes.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account at any time using the "Delete Account" option in the app, which permanently removes your data. You may also cancel your subscription at any time, and access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
9. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the app. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. The date below reflects when this policy was last updated.
